I have used havalon to cape, quarter, and process twelve big game animals in the last three years. I generally pack into very remote areas. So, wieght minimization is critical. Carrying the havalon is like carring multiple knives. The last big game animal I used the havalon on was a shiras moose. I was able to completely breakdown and process the moose with just three blades! When you are caping a once in a lifetime trophy, you need a sharp blade to ensure you dont ruin the cape. Thats why I only use havalon blades while in the field. I have also used my habalon piranta knife to process ducks, geese, grouse, chukars, and pheasants.
